On
Tuesday May 29th the Lakes Area Police Department conducted it's 18th
annual Bike Safety Rodeo at
Lakeside intermediate School in
Chisago City. the Rodeo
was a huge success. The weather was great and the participants had a great
time. Fairview Lakes Regional health Care was on hand to sell helmets at
$5 each and fit helmets to riders, St. Croix regional Medical Center staff
handed out bike reflectors and certificates of completion. Lakes Area
Officers presented instruction on hand signals and safe riding techniques.
There was even a radar run for the riders to see how fast they could go.
This years sponsors
were: WHY USA Chain of Lakes Realty, Lindstrom Arbys, Fairview Lakes
Regional Health Care, St. Croix regional medical Center.
New Bike Sponsors are: Mainstreet bank, Security State Bank of Marine,
River Bank, Taylors Falls chamber of Commerce, Lake Area Bank, True Value
Hardware of Chisago City, and Lindstrom Hardware.
